I reccomend them to anyone! If you like Harry Potter (Does anyone like Harry Potter lol!) you will love Chronicles of Narnia.

i've seen the film version of chronicles of narnia but never read the book, maybe i will one day tho.
I love the His Dark Materials trilogy by phillip pullman - i read them like a million times and i recommend them to anyone.
i hate the LOTR books tho, they're just boring and i stop after about the first 3 pages.

See, I can't read the LOTR books either.. I love the movies, but the books take a LONG time to get into anything and they're written in like gibberish so they're hard to understand.
I also LOVE the Chicken Soup for the Soul books.

ahhh, i love the narnia books! for the longest time my little sister told everyone she was in love with high king peter. at the moment we are in a feud about who gets her name her first son peter (neither of us are pregnant and don't plan to be for quite a while...but you've got to think these things out! hehe). In the fantasy/sci-fi area I strongly reccomend the Wizard of Earthsea books by Ursula Le Guin. I read them for a philosophy class my first year of college and adored them. They can be read on a very philosophical, deep level, but you can also read them on a more quick, entertainment level. In a completely different genre though, is my FAVORITE author, John Upwell i never!. He's a total stud, y'all should check out the cover to his book "The Early Stories." Granted, he's like 80 now, but whatever. Hehe. Anyways, his short stories are the best. I'm also a Nathaniel Hawthorne fan. Oh and also, if you want to read a book that will change your life forever and ever, read "The God of Small Things" by Arundhati Roy. It's amazing. Anyways, I could go on and on and on about books, because I'm an english major and this is like, my thing, but I won't bore you anymore. But if anyone wants to hear some more suggestions (yes, I have more!) just PM me.

I agree with a previous post. To Kill a Mockingbird was an amazing book! I couldn't get into it at first, but after the first few chapters, I was stuck reading it all night! lol
I also LOVE anything by V.C. Andrews. If you ever get the chance, I recommend ALL of her series. Lol I've read them all, and I love them all.

OMG! I'm such a huge reader I go through like two or three books a week. Favorite books are, Harry Potter of course, Any Tamora Pierce books, surprisingly Star by Pamela Anderson was a really good read and To a God Unknown by Steinbeck. There are just so many I can't even think of them.
My least favorite book is The Grapes of Wrath, which is INSANELY boring, I got 100 pages in and couldn't finish it, though the only reason I began reading it was because it's California's official book.

I am guilty of loving books I read when I was very young. Like " Poppy" By Avi...anyone ever read that story? It's so good...it has cuteness and sadness in it...it's about Mice and Owls, and the Owl ruling over the Mice...soudns stupid, but you'd just ahve to read it. I pretty much cried when Ragweed died! And " Socks" by Judy Blume I think it was...it was about the cat..idk if anyone's read it..but I really liked that one lol And for the life of me I can't remember the author of this book and I dont think I have the title right either, but it's something like "The Key in the Attic" or something about something in an attic...anyways, it was one of the COOLEST. It's a good mystery. I also love the book, " The Giver" ...I forget the author, but It's really a good book. I also used to read the Goosebumps books, but not anymore. I think I'd pretty much think they're stupid now! lol. another good book I read was called "Bloodlines" By Susan Conant. It's a dog-lover's mystery I also own "Creature Discomforts" by her, but haven't gotten round to readin' it! And of course all Chicken Soup books, especially the one for the Pet Lover's soul And all Poetry books. I love poetry. I can't read LOTR. Too much for me...I can barely stay awake for the movies! Lol. I also don't like Non-Fiction...it's...not interesting enough. lol \m/ HARRY POTTER RULES ABOVE ALL THOUGH! \m/

I'm a fan of books like Bridget Jones' Diary (yes it is a book!) I have so many that are focused on the single woman the the disasters that can befall her! Makes my life not seem so bad!

I love nearly anything by Ayn Rand, especially The Fountainhead. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is a good book too. Oh, and Pride and Prejudice. Gotta love Darcy.
The one book I can't stand is Wuthering Heights. I found Heathcliff to be a fascinating character, but I wish I could have a glimpse into his mind. I didn't like the first-person point of view of Nelly. She was annoying.

OMG I forgot about Chicken Soup! I love that book! I have Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul. I love it. A brothers voice is a good one. I can't remember many though I haven't read it for a while. I think the one where the Dad walks home because his son was too busy going out he forgot to pick up his Dad is upsetting.

Holes was awesome! I loved that book! I'm reading a biography on Mother Teresa's life right now and it's pretty interesting. But that's for school and I'm not sure I'd read it for personal enjoyment. Lol, but Nicholas Sparks is a great author and so is Lurlene McDaniel! They write awesome romance stories. =]
