I know that this is a VERY personal subject. EVERYONE has different views on it. PLEASE, if you're going to discuss it, don't be angry with someone else because they think differently. You can state your opinion and argue subtley, but PLEASE, do not put someone else down because of how they feel. It's their opinion and they're allowed to have it.
Personally, I don't think we should have gone over to Iraq. I don't think it was our place. However, now that we are there, it's our duty to stay and make sure things get rebuilt and that order is restored.

I think it was a smart thing to do; I don't like the death toll that its been raising, and I don't like how many of our soldiers are there and are dying, but I think it was really smart, and the right thing to do to get sadame hussien out of there. I think its important that we help rebuild iraq, but also that we get out some of our men, so that we don't lose anyone

I agree with going to war in Iraq. I mean with what Suddame did who wouldn't? I thought that the people killing the journalists should be shot. People who were killed such as Keneth Biggley their murderers should go the same way. I found it sick and disturbing.

I think the war in Iraq wasn't necessary for us to do when we did. But someone would have had to do it sometime. My father is in the airforce and currently serving, not in Iraq thankfully but people definately need to worry more about our peoples live in Iraq and other hostile places and hope for their safe return home.

I agree with all your opinions in a way. I've had a family member serving, and although he said it was hard, he also said he wouldn't change it and he wouldn't go back and start over again. He loved serving his country.
I also think this woman on the news (can't even remember her name, the one going on about how President Bush is wrong and how her son died) is way out of line. I can understand that her own flesh and blood died, but he'd not have been there if he hadn't wanted to be. There was no draft. He joined the army, not her. It's not her place to go behind HIS memory and degrade something he fought for and died in attempt. I think this woman just needs to stop. And when she put up crosses for all the soldiers who've died. That was WRONG. I get that she wants people to understand who've died and such, but it was not her place to invade someone else's memory for her own television gain. AND THEN, the nerve of this woman, going on TV and announcing that people can grow up saying they met her. If I leave her telling people one thing, it's that if I met her, I'd let her know just what I think of her. Like I've said, I understand she's going through pain, but she's just being WRONG. Her son would NOT want this happening. He fought for this country and he died doing so. He wouldn't want his memory destroyed.
If this post was too person for you, let me know and I'll edit it so it's not.

No, no. I totally agree with you. It's sick when family members of the soldiers use their death for their own personal gain. He joined to help this country, not to die and have his mother dishonor his memory.

Ok I have mixed emotions about this stupid little war.
For one, I don't agree with helping re-build Iraq. You know how much money WE waste by bombing a country, teaching them a lesson, and then re-building every thing? In my opinion, it's pointless. Don't destroy something and then say "oh sorry, let me give you oodles of money so I can help you re-build that" NO EFFING WAY! They're against us! Even the civilians. Why help someone who wants us dead, and why help someone who we're currently bombing the sh*t out of? IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE!
But I do agree that we should have just gone in, took out the Dictator, and left. I don't see any point in trying to change their government. Let people believe what they want.
I think we shouldn't be focusing on Iraq so much, they're small potatoes. Wanna know who really scares me? China. Wana know who scares me more than them? Korea. I'll tell you why. We're giving these people OUR technology! We're WHORING OUR TECHNOLOGY TO EVERYONE, cause we're jsut oh so super nice. Great. So if we piss these countries off in the LEAST...we're done for. and Don't worry folks...it'll happen.

I see what you mean and I agree as well. The thing that gets me is people who were terrorists might be released! I'm sorry but that is totally stupid! Who ever thought of that is a stupid ahh don't type that Head! (Sorry but it winds me up) I think every terrorist and person who was linked with terrorism should go through the worst troture for a year and then given the slowest, longest and most painful death! I know that sounds mean and evil but look at what they put families through! And the bombings in London are spreading over the country especially in Birmingham which is only 5 miles away from where I live and I had a nasty encounter with something that I thought could be a bomb and trust me its not nice. So the war in Iraq was the right thing to do.

I think we need to be there. i wish we didn't have to be. but we do
and also, not all of the civilians are against the troops. All we see is the negative, because that's what the media shows and people like Michael Moore put in their 'documentarys' (sorry if that offends people.) it's terrible that people are being sacrificed over there, but i do believe it's necessary.. and concerning Cindy Sheehan..it really bothers me, because to me it seems like she's parading her sons death to get attention and media coverage.

I've heard her mentioned and I could strangle her! You don't go on TV to talk about your son's death so you can have your 'hour of fame'!

supposedly? well yeah.. afganhastan WAS where the 'terrorist thing' originated from.
and... to get saddam in the first place we had to go to Iraq... we couldn't just say 'come out so we can arrest you and have you senteced to live and prison!' the problem is that we can't just back out now..it would revert back to how it was before, because there are too many terrorist groups running rampant. I am by no means prowar.. i think war is a terrible thing, but when it's a necessity i think it deserves support.. i mean the troops there need to know that the people around the world and especially in the US are supporting them..otherwise what do they have to fight for?
