This is a pretty..confusing problem in a way..
I'm in marching band at my school...which takes up mostly my entire life for my 1st semester... and for the last 2 years i've been in the Pit
Pit: the part of percussion that plays keyboard type instruments that don't march and are at the front of the field
The other side of Percussion is Drumline, and this year i'm on that... and It's really cool, they're some of the coolest guys i've ever met, and we're all really close..i never got that in Pit, everyone did their own thing in there..
my problem is... that the last 2 years i've gotten to be really good and close friends with people not in percussion... like..these people are my best friends.. and i got to spend time with them during marching season because we would be on buses together and hang out during practice...
now that i'm on drumline though, everything is different. I almost never get to spend time with my nondrumline friends becaus ei just never see them.. during games i'm always having to play so i don't get to stand by them.. during practice i'm on the opposite side of the field because of where we march.. and it's kind of a tradition thing for us to sign up for a bus together..
The thing is..my other friends, mainly my best friend Mal, are getting really upset with me because i don't hang out with them anymore.. but the thing is i just have no TIME to. i try to think of ways to hang out with them but my schedule is just so busy i don't have the time to do anything with them.
so i guess my question is.. does anyone have any advice on balancing two groups of friends like that? or finding time or anything? because i'm sick of arguing with them and telling them i'm not going to ditch them.
