Bruce almighty was just okay.
I believe the only funny parts are when the rival anchor is forced to speak gibberish and when he makes an ass of himself at the maid of the mist.
But a REALLY good newsy-type movie is Anchorman. I laugh throughout the entire film, and if you haven't seen it--GO SEE IT ASAP!!!!! It's one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES! It has all the funny actors in it!

Haha I remember that part. That was funny. Ohh, my friend absolutely adores Anchorman. I've never seen it, but I think I should from your review.

haha, I have Bruce Almighty (b/c it rocks!) and my sister has Anchorman. I love both those movies! Another Jim Carey movie I got into was The Majestic. Did anyone else like that movie?

I never watched that one...it didn't seem good. I like Jim Carey's 'Liar Liar' and 'Ace Ventura: Pet Detective' sequels...They're great movies. But my favorite actor is Johnny Depp. He doesn't specialize in comedy's, but he does have a quirky kind of humour about him. His movies usually aren't supposed to make you laugh but sometimes he manages to slip a good line in there every once in awhile He's the best actor ever and the only movie I've seen by him and Don't like so far is "the Man Who Cried"...i have no idea how a Christina Ricci(Casper, Sleepy Hollow), Johnny Depp(Pirates of the Carribean, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), and John Tuturro(Mr. Deeds, Secret Window) movie could turn out so badly...but it did! AAH! My favorite funny actors are Will Farrel and Adam Sandler. They rock my comedy world!

Haha I love Adam Sandler as well! I haven't watched all of his movies, but I will. I've watched Mr. Deeds and ... some other one, but I forgot which. I want to watch Spanglish. I heard that movie was really good.
Oh, I watched Liar Liar as well! Haha I loved it. It was hilarious.

I've never seen Liar Liar all the way through, I think I associate it with Ventura and The Mask, two movies I hated.

I LOVE Ace Ventura And Liar Liar is actually a really different movie then both of those. It is stupid-funny. Its got a real plot. But I still love the Mask and Ace Ventura better

I bought The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy today. As a fan of the books, I found the movie to be hilarious, and faithful to the spirit of the books. It helped that Douglas Adams (the author of the series) wrote the script, but he died before they even started filming, so it was nice to see that they stuck to the really big things (like the mice and stuff).
I found a lot of connections to the Harry Potter movies too. Alan Rickman (Snape) does the voice for Marvin, while Warwick Davis (Flitwick) actually plays Marvin, and Richard Griffiths (Vernon Dursley) does the voice for Vogon Jeltz.
If you get the chance, I'd totally suggest renting it (or even buying it).

No, it's has real actors, but a lot of CG stuff as well. However, the aliens are made by the Jim Henson Creature Shop (The Muppets), so they look incredibly real. if you're looking for a comedy with good, witty humor (as opposed to vulgar jokes), this would be the one.

I haven't heard of it but I'll look out for it. I'm not too much of a fan for the vulgar jokes either just simple funny humour.

I heard it was stupid, but maybe I just was talking to the wrong people...
And Flames, I think that Son of the Mask looks kind of dumb... Its not even the same actors!!

Haha Son of the Mask ... I didn't think that was a very good movie, judging from the previews. I really wanna watch Proof or is it {proof} ... it looks good. Did anybody see March of the Penguins?
