okay I am a bit...well my opinion were already made when I read the books cos I read them after the third movie(but I'm still a totally convinces HP fan. better late than never) and I must say I totally missplaced the characters of Madam Hooch and Professor Sprout...for some reason I thought they looked like the inverse of their person.ahh ok I'm bad at explaining meaning when i saw madam hooch was going on the field I imagined a fat chubby lil person walking over there and professor sprout was thin and tall lol....i have no ideea why! as for other characters... the weasly were supposed to be prettier!! but i got used to them..oh yea and cho..i didn't like her in the books but i supposed she was more small and i dunno prettier i guess....but it doesn't upset me since i didn't like her anyways:D:D hey what do you guys think about Dobby? i think they made him perfectly! although -well i wasn't paying too much attention- but i think his ears were supposed to be more...i dunno movable =))

I LOVE DOBBY!! aww...I drew(painted) TWO pictures of him when I was in Art in 9th grade!! He's such a lil cutie! He's jsut how i pictured him to be, and i think it was perfect!!! I keep wondering if they'll do another good job with winky..hmm
And the only Weasley I have a problem about Beauty is Ginny, because obviously in the books she's a pretty girl, and not to say bonnie's not, but I think Bonnie is more cute than pretty..yanno? Everyone overlooks Ginny's character in the movies, when she's becoming prettier and more important as the books progress. I <3 her lol
and Sprout and Hooch, I forget how I originally pictured, I think Sprout shouldn't have been as fat perse, but she still fits..lol.

I think Snape, Malfoy, Harry, Dumbledore and the Weasley twins were cast perfectly! I think that Ginny, Ron, Mr. Weasley, Lupin and Hermione (because they keep changer her hair!) weren't cast properly. If only they kept her hair the same way in each movie it would be so much better. Also most of the minor characters were cast wonderfully too.

I think Ron was casted just perfectly. Rupert does an excellent job protraying my favourite red-head.
Hermione I think had hair changes so they could "keep up with the times" but really I think they're just tyring to make the movie more appealing to people who aren't obessed with the books like we all are. Shame really.

Do you think that the casting is getting a bit off now? I didn't think Remus and Sirius fit in with the book descriptions, and neither did Krum or Cedric. Pansy looks too innocent and she doesn't look like a "pug" from what I saw ... and Cho ... I imagined her to be more prettyful, but she's all right. And I think that the girl playing Fleur is - on offense - not suited, because she's not Veela like and she doesn't look "outstandingly" awesome. She's the kind of girl who is pretty, but won't turn any heads...

I think I'm the only one on the entire board that liked Sirius! Ok, so I love Gary Oldman, but I don't think he did a bad job. I did imagine his face being a bit more gaunt, he'd be like, a better looking Snape, but I think only after we see him cleaned up in the later movies we'll be able to tell. But Gary certainly isn't ugly! And nobody else seemed to like Lupin either. Hmph. It's been forever since I last read POA so I don't remember how he was described but I think David Thewlis did an awesome job, I fell in love with Lupin while watching the third movie. (Reading the books my mind was too focused on Sirius I hadn't payed Lupin much attention. ) I think Dan, Rupert, and Tom were all excellently cast. Emma really isn't bad I mean, yea what you guys were saying before about trying to keep her pretty to keep the general population interested is probably what they are doing. I mean, honestly, how could you have an ugly main character Oh and Ron's hair is WAY to long in the fourth movie. I don't like it. Even Harry's hair is looking too long and shabby. *scrunches nose* Dumbledore was absolutely awesome in the first two, and I think one of the reasons lots of people don't like Sir Michael Gambon is because he wasn't the one originally cast, he was taking the old Dumbledores place so everyone is harder on him. Hagrid, McGonagall, the Dursleys, the Twins, all excellently cast I say. Ginny... well I don't like Ginny. I don't see whats so special about her, I never payed her much attention in the books, and look at all the trouble she caused in COS No, ok, I know that wasn't her fault but I don't know, the character of Ginny just bothers me, so since I don't really pay much attention to her I say the actress that portrays her does a good job. Snape.... *sigh* I love Snape. Alan Rickman is amazing...

Hey, don't crack down on Ginny *cracks knuckles* She is a terrific character, she didn't caue any trouble in the Cos, that wasn't her fault!! And she's more appealing than hermione, OBVIOUSLY, because guys like her. Ginny is tough and Ginny has a colorful personality. how can you NOT LIKE HER!!!? Yer right about Alan Rickman *sigh* he's great. Love him in Dogma. Right about Michael Gambon too. If he were the original Dumbledore, and not such a contrast to the first one...it wouldn't be so hard to imagine him as dumbledore (except he needs a PERLY WHITE Beard, as in the books!) WHAT!! No Dobby or Winky?! wtf is their problem! THEY"RE ESSENTIAL! I love them!! Gary oldman's ugly.

I LOVE Gary Oldman. He's fantastic.
Alan Rickman... I've had a crush on that man ever since Galaxy Quest came out (and I also got a new catchphrase! "By Grapthar's hammer, you shall be AVENGED!") He's sheer brilliance in everything he does.
I don't think anyone's mentioned him, but Jason Isaacs, the man that plays Lucuis Malofy, is also very good. He is devestaintly handsome and very talented.

Oh yeah, I've forgotten Lucius - shame on me! Anyway, he DID have gorgeous hair. Kind of reminded me of Legolas from LoTR but anyway back to subject- Draco...I've never really hated him but then I can't talk about if I've liked him before the movie or not because I haven't read the book before the first movie . As for Madam Hooch and Professor Sprout, I thought they were casted pretty good. I mean, Madam Hooch had that eagle eye look. ^^ Gosh, I was laughing every time I saw "Hippy Dumbledore" on this thread. lol. No matter what, I was the most unsatisfied with Lupin in the movie. Argh!

he IS the HIPPIE DUMBLEDORE! he's got PONYTAILS in his beard! and he got YOUNGER! and he's always doing STUPID stuff! not at all dumbledore like! and AHHH HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE GINNIBEAN?! that's just pure crazyness! lol i love her! i think she's an awesoem character! i think she was cast right in the second two movies, but she has to get a lot sexier (not prettier, she's fine there) in the next couple movies. she's supposed to be popular and turn heads and such Sorry, I can't picture Gary Oldman being hott. He's so.. old.. not all all like I pictured Sirius.. AHHH ALAN RICKMAN IS MY HERO!! HE'S THE MOST PERFECT SNAPE EVER! I SURE DO LOVE HIM! and Jason Issacs did a GREAT job! i loved his hair too! and his voice was greatness lol loved him and i imagined him EXACTLY like that!

Oh yeah! Marcus Flint was done perfectly. So was Oliver Wood. ^^
Gosh...I do like Ginny. I just didn't like her in the movies that well. Didn't quite...fit my image of Ginny. - -;;;..
The interaction between Draco and Lucius in the movie was great. How Lucius pushed Draco aside with his cane in Flourish and Botts and everything. I thought that part was done pretty well, the whole Diagon Alley scene that is.
Alan Rickman is THE man. He's the best Snape and if they ever try to replace him with some Hippie Snape (rotflmao), I'll just have to get an airplane ticket to go and kill them. lol.
