Seeing as our old topic about which ships you LOVE and defending them all the time got a little old, here's a whole new outlook. We've said which ships we love, defended them through and through, and also said which ones we're not so hot about. What we haven't done is BASH ships. Here, you can pretty much say whatever you want. You can insult any character for any reason. The only stipulation is that you can't bash our forum members So, SHIP BASH AWAY!

Ugh, I'm saying this now: I can't STAND any Tom pairing! Its DISGUSTING. Thats like picturing, like, Hitler's romantic relationships. GROSS. The worst is when they try to pair off Ginny/Tom. Thats WRONG. She was 11, and even though he was 16 in the memory, he was still like 60 in real life. GROSS>

oh i know! it's so nasty! and it really doesn't MATTER if he doesn't have the pasty face and snake red eyes.. he's still EVIL. so why does it seem plausible to some to change him into a 'poor torchered soul that just needs help and love' or whatever?

You know what I hate? (besides Draco/Hermione *cough*sig*cough*) Harry/Ginny. I hated it in the books and I've yet to read a fic where I liked the pairing. It just seems that whenever Ginny is paired with Harry she loses a bit of herself in the process- like her fiesty personality is dulled down so it can complement Harry's personality. Until someone gives me a good Harry/Ginny fic I'm sticking with hating it. It's just too goody-goody, Brady bunch, happily-ever-after for me.

i don't like it either! i mean..in HBP..i really.. well ya i didn't like it..but i dealt with it because it's the actual book .. but you really just can't make me read it in FanFics. now..the only time that it is at ALL acceptable is when it doesn't last and is just a plot lead... but to make it a main theme in a story? noooo way

Actually, I realized that I can stand it when it is in a Harry/Ginny/Draco triangle, as long as Ginny ends up with Draco. I'm with you, as long as it doesn't last I can stand it for a little while (which is how I got through the sixth book :

Yeah I"m glad that Ginny didn't stay with Harry...nobody watns our sweet canon to turn into a romance novel, espeically with all the evil-goodness that's being flung around. Fluff is what fanon is for...
I really hate Draco/Hermione, more than anything. For one thing, opposites attract doesn't work for them. She's dog ugly, mudblooded, and best friends with Draco's enemy. Not only that, but it's CLEAR that she's in love with Ron!(though I can't imagine how that could possibly happen because ron is a loser). Draco and Hermione are not only a beastly looking couple, butt hey're not fun to read either. I've yet to read a D/Hr without predicting it to the very end, because the same plot lines are used over & over again. They're like fanfiction now that's not very nices, and it needs to be put to sleep. This ship is so old and used up, it's getting annoying to see that people still like to read thsi garbage.
I also hate Student/Teacher & I'll tell you why. Because the teachers are all twice as old as the kids! I hate when they put one of our main characters ( like draco for instance ) and turn him into a teacher right after he graduates Hogwarts. It doesnt' happen like that. Now that I've got that off my chest, Here's another thing I hate about Student/Teacher: The Herm/Snape pairings. They make me sick. Just because they're both smart doesn't mean they're meant for each other! If you're going to pair Snape with someone, Do it right. Give him McGonagall or Lily, or even Narcissa. But to put him with the buck-toothed, frazzly-haired, know-it-all Hermione Granger of whom he hates with a passion? it's not working. Student/Teacher is just a fetish for pedophilia, and it too should be put to rest. It's disgusting and is a total disregard to the books.
What I hate mroe than Student/Teacher is Incest. To put the Weasley children together, is just disgusting. What's worse is Twincest. Fred & George are BROTHERS! Straight brothres! They don't like to have sex with eachother, are you kididng me? and there's people who ACTUALLY enjoy this garbage! it's a monstrocity! I saw one fic based on the romance of Draco & Narcissa, and another with Ginny & Ron. Then there was one on Bill & Charlie! How disgusting. I would never be able to sit in my chair and write crap like that without feeling disgusted with myself.
And, the last thing I hate: It's slash. Whoever thought of making the Harry Potter characters gay is very messed up, and must not understand the cahracters. True, I don't agree with homosexuality, but I normally don't have a quarrel with it. But to do it to these characters? Have these people even read the book? I think Miss Rowling has pretty much paired all of our characters with another character of the opposite sex at least once, which should show everyone that none of them are gay. And I come back to an earlier statement, it is beyond me how a writer can sit there and write this stuff and be serious about it! And some really surprise me when they get lots of reviews! It's sick...I'm sorry. It is. All of the above stated is. You may not agree...but every time I see a fic like these...it makes me feel queasy.

eeeww.. student/teacher.. just... not right.. it was traumatizing. i read a story that was a Draco/Ginny and it seemed promising and the next chapter i get to it's completely random because Hermione is upset because she loved Draco or some crap and she runs to Snape. needless to say after a few minutes of gagging i quickly x'd out of the fic.
and.. something about Hermione/Draco fics.. i'll be honest.. the first one i read..i liked..because..well.. it was the first one i read. i didn't really know how the plots went because i'd never been exposed to one..so to me it wasn't tha tbad.. then.. i read another one..and realized 'hey..this seems familiar' and by about the 5th it was more of a 'oh you've got to be sh*tt*ng me' feeling. it's all so freaking repetetive.. if there's a write out there that can do a Herm/Draco fic that's NOT been done before, and is not ridiculously predictable, my hat is off to you.

That's the truth, too. It's always the same crap over and over again. Wanna know the most common of the D/Hr cliches? And, D/Hr shippers, pay special attention to this list because you might recognize some of the crap on here. Note: and yes, I HAVE read my fair share of D/Hr's, so I know what I'm talking about. I've done lots of homework on it. -Headboy draco & herm (Even though the logical head boy would be a gryffindor before it would be a Slytherin) -They share a bathroom in their HB & HG room, yanno, for a little accidentally-on-purpose walking-in. -Draco's suddenly a stud and can take on anyone -Dumbledore allowing all kinds of weird balls and parties, even though Hogwarts isn't known to throw many special events ( I think the Yule Ball got them stuck on that crap) -losing virginities to eachother, because it's just so romantic that way. -OR, the alternative, Draco is a man-now that's not very nice who's shagged most of Hogwarts, though most of Hogwarts hates him. -over-gushed fluff and angst, even though Draco isn't really a fluffy guy. (only with Myrtle ) -makeover for hermione. I'm talking hott bod, flashy clothes, straight hair, pearly whites, piercings & tattoos, and make up. Maybe even a tan, too. -some weird relative of hermione's (Or some random person...usually from America) transferring in to take everyone by storm and be the most beautiful & popular person ever, also she gets to date Harry or Ron (Despite the fact that they're both prudes and aren't too much into the dating game. This is used to keep them distracted from the D/Hr and therefore make things easier for the writer). This person even causes D/Hr friction, but dont' worry, it doesn't work out for Draco and the Hott new girl because he's totally in love with Hermione. -Draco being totally infatuated with Hermione after about two seconds of noticing her transformation, despite 7 years of hate. Though in some record-breaking stories it takes about two weeks. -Lucius being over-powering & trying to perform arranged marriages with a pureblood girl fro Draco, even though it's the 90's and things aren't run like that anymore. But, don't worry, Draco evades his father's hitler-ness with the help of his sweet goddess, Hermione, and with the help of Dumbledore (cause yanno he takes family matters into his own hands without being confronted all.the.time.) -suicide attempts due to manic depression -double suicide attempts due to manic depression -Snape acting totally OOC for some odd freaking reason, sometimes even playing matchmaker despite his total loathing of Hermione. -Blaise also likes to play Matchmaker. -everyone being paired up & happy, so they can all do couple-like things together and so Harry and Ron don't bother Hermione with too many questions about her own lovelife. -Draco buddies up with Harry & Ron because they're not so bad after all and/or because it would make Hermione happy *gag* -Draco sits with Herm at the gryff table for meals And most of that is just off the top of my head...I left some things out...but you get the picture. But the cliche I like most is that Herm & Draco have to keep their relationship secret, because that one is actually realistic. Who would want to admit they're dating Hermione Granger anyway, other than Ron or Krum? (Krum/herm btw is my favorite Herm pairing)

I hate Ron/Hermione fics: So much. I mean come on, why would Hermione get with him? It took him so long to realise his feelings for her, and he's hurt her enough over the years by not asking her to dances or asking her out, that I am pretty sure Hermione is getting annoyed.
I also don't like Draco/Pansy fics: I can't stand Pansy Parkinson. I hate her so much, she is just so annoying. I hate how she is always touching him and thinking that he is her's.
Those two shipps annoy me.

eh..yeah.. ron/hermione is... kind of boring to me.. but when i'm suddenly in a mood where i really can't stand either of them...i can see them paired... usually on the side of a good draco/ginny fic.. but i could never read a fic that's main purpose is Ron/Herm..
and weird as this sounds.. my favorite ship for Pansy is Ron/Pansy... which i know contradicts my opinions about how some things aren't plausible even in fanon... but if it's a good enough fic..and it's gradually introduced, it's a pretty interesting pairing.
